This stone is a natural emerald from Colombia, and it was cut into a kite cabochon by Oscar Bautista to respect its shape and size. 

Both sides feature a slight curvature; that is, it does not have a flat base. For this reason, it is ideal for a pendant or bracelet. 

It can also be used in a ring, provided the design and the type of setting are suited to the gemstone's morphology.

About this emerald:

As occurs with morralla type emeralds born in the mountains of Colombia, this stone exhibits greenish and whitish tones. 

It also features small cavities and surface inclusions of pyrite that you can recognize thanks to their golden hue. 

These characteristics are not mechanical damage or accidental fractures, but geological features that demonstrate its formation within the host rock.
